Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

1Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Teaching-
Today I spoke on the verses from the Mass and Church Unlimited- the theme was the deity of Christ and the New Covenant [as well as church history and a few other subjects].
The reading from the Mass [John 1] showed us the deity of Christ [meaning Christ being God in the flesh] and the calling of John the Baptist-
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John was the last and greatest Prophet- in the line of Old Testament prophets [I know the debate- but won’t do it now].
In John 1 we see him introducing Jesus- bringing in the Messiah, as the forerunner John was simply a messenger-
John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
And we see the reality of the New Birth- not a natural birth- but a spiritual one- Born of God-
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
I also refuted the teaching [from the higher critics] that the doctrine of Jesus being God was a later development in the history of the church.
The writings from the New testament state the early belief among Christians that Jesus was indeed God in the flesh-
Here is another verse that shows us this-
1Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Which just happened to be one of the verses from the Sunday Mass.
The passage from Ephesians was something I taught recently and will simply add that teaching below.
One of the other themes was ‘expand and advance’- I quoted a few passages from Isaiah and others that fit with the theme-
Isaiah 54:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
Isaiah 54:3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
We also saw the reality of the New Covenant- the New Wine-
Mark 2:22
And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
Though the verses from the various churches were not coordinated with each other- yet the theme did fit together.
The verse from the Psalm has always been a favorite- I quote a variation of it during my regular prayer time-
Psalm 147:12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
Psalm 147:13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
Psalm 147:14 He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
Yet- I’m not exactly sure where I remembered the passage from.
I know I got it from the bible- and added it to my prayer time years ago-
But the passage from the psalms speaks about it as already being accomplished.
In my prayer time I quote it in a different way [I say how on the video] and yet here it speaks of it as already being answered.
I tried to share an interesting perspective from this experience- That God hears us- and even answers our prayers- before we pray them-

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Is. 55:24
My daughter mentioned she had a question to ask- but later forgot [while filming]- after I shut the video off- she remembered.
It was about the Lords Supper [communion] and the different views that Christian churches hold.
On the video I talked about the Reformers- and mentioned there was a debate between Luther and Zwingli- but didn’t want to get into it on the video.
Sure enough- it was about the question my daughter asked later- which I have taught before.
I told her it’s a good thing she didn’t ask it on video- because I would have probably went on for about another 30 minutes- which I’m trying not to do.
I write these short ‘new’ sections right after I make the video [usually] and don’t teach too much in them.
If you watch the videos- and read both the verses I add in these posts as well as my past posts section- you should be able to get enough out of them to go a bit deeper than this simple overview.
